New changes following a review by the Central HSE team will be operational by Friday 7 September 2018 across the Australia hub. The Fatal and Severe Risk (FSR) Control Standard is an important element of the Laing O’Rourke Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS).
In the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland July 2018 bulletin there is a feature article titled ‘Laing O’Rourke hits the next gear for innovative inductions’. The article describes the innovative approach that the Battlefield Airlifter (BFA) project has undertaken that is helping the project work smarter and safer.
In mid-2016 Laing O’Rourke launched its Next Gear SMS website, making its Safety Management System (SMS) publically available for the first time. In doing so, the SMS was available to all Laing O’Rourke employees and its supply chain, delivery partners, clients and other interested parties.
Next week we will launch our Mental Health and Wellbeing Campaign – the Five Ways to Wellbeing. A campaign that will raise awareness and promote the positive ways in which people can support their own mental health.
As part of a redesign of its Next Gear website that houses the Safety Management System (SMS), Laing O’Rourke has integrated its Environmental Management System (EMS) and SMS to provide easy access for all of its stakeholders.
