We are Rethinking Safety through Inclusion + Wellbeing. This program is commencing in August 2023 and has 3 key pillars. Engineered Safety, Delivery Excellence and Human Performance. This year’s World Mental Health Day is set amidst the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. 2020 has been challenging for us all and perhaps even more so for those who are already suffering with mental health conditions as they may be experiencing greater social isolation than ever before.
We know that many of you are juggling different responsibilities at the moment and understand that at times you will need to design your day differently. To support you and your family, our COVID working group has designed a suite of resources and wellbeing support services which are now available for all our people in Victoria, and I encourage you all to take advantage of these.
As we all move through these challenging times together, parents, carers and teachers have the added responsibility of supporting the children in their care to deal with rapid change and uncertainty. Mindfulness is an active, practical and helpful tool to help adults and children alike manage the challenges many of us are currently facing.
2020 has been an incredibly challenging year for us all, bringing drastic changes to our way of life, placing an even greater emphasis on the importance of supporting one another and being there for our mates.
We are currently undertaking a phased review of the HSEMS focusing on the Fatal Severe Risks (FSR’s). This review captures the lessons learnt, project feedback and legislative updates.
