The following is a HSE Alert relating to a PC1 event. A member of the Contractors workforce has sat on a 4.7 tonne parapet that was in a temporary stored position. As the worker sat on the top edge of the parapet, the parapet has rotated forward, pinning the lower part of their legs under the parapet. Quick thinking action by the nearby crane crew, lifted the parapet from the workers lower legs, stabilised the Injured Person (IP) and contacted emergency services who attended to the Injured Person.
